Fashioned from silver, the pen features stunning, elaborate filigree overlays over colored lacquer. The pen comes with two caps, one topped with a stunning silver model ofthe statue. The elaborate base serves as a pen stand and as a stand for the cap not currently in use, and is hand-patinated for optimal contrast.

The Winged Victory of Samothracealso known as Nike of Samothraceis a Greek sculpture from the Hellenistic periodculpted around the 2nd century BCfound on the island of Samothrace. It represents the goddess Nike (the Greek goddess of victory) and stands on a base the shape of a ship’s bow. Since 1884, it has been prominently displayed at the Louvre, and is one of a small number of major Hellenistic statues surviving in the original rather than Roman copies.
