From the Muromachi period (1336-1573) to the Edo period(1603-1868), Ninja were employed by warring feudal lords in variousregions. The Ninja’s missions included night raids, sabotage, and assassination,but the most important mission was to invade the enemy’s camp,gather information on the enemy’s situation, and convey this
information to the lord.

Thus, because the Ninja needed to survive and return to their lordliving in castles, they often used weapons to protect themselves, suchas Swords, Shurikens, Makibishi etc.

Crafted from PMMA Resin with Yuubi Maki-e, this pen is a true work of art. This Sailor 1911 Large fountain pen features different maki-e designs on the translucent grey barrel and cap. It is complemented by rhodium plated accents, and comes equipped with Sailor’s legendary rhodium plated 21k gold nib in a wide variety of nib sizes.

The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing. The 1911L comes with a Sailor proprietary converter as well as two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.
