Visconti has created the Leonardo da Vinci Machina pen in honor of the 500th anniversary of the Italian legend’s passing.

The Machina highlights da Vinci’s engineering talent. The cap and barrel depict details of the technical drawings of some revolutionary machines found in the famous Codex Atlanticus. The combination of the scrimshaw style engravings and colored pigment is a tribute to da Vinci’s beloved red chalk drawings. Thisrose gold edition features solid 18K rose gold trims.

Limited to 38 pieces worldwide, the Machina sports Visconti’s 23K Palladium Dreamtouch nib, plated to match the trims, and arrives inan expertly crafted icosahedron-shaped gift box with a bottle of ink and a gear that holds the pen.
