The leather istanned in Himeji, Japan, and treated with oil and wax; due to the thickness of the leather, the tanning process takes 1.5 times longer than normal. The covers are then polished to a beautiful, deep glossy finish.

The organizer features a 5-ring binder with padding around the rings to prevent indents on the leather and an adjustable pen holder to accommodate various pen sizes.
