This excellent tape dispenser from Nichiban features a compact, attractive design and a patented metal cutting surface that makes neat, straight cuts. It’s less sharp to the touch than other tape dispensers we’ve used, but it’s still very easy to use.

You can put any kind of tape (including Nichiban artist tape or other washi tape brands) in this dispenser, which holds rolls with 1″ cores. The included roll is Nichiban Cellophane Tape, a classic office supply made from cellulose and natural rubber adhesive. Nichiban clear tape is more flexible and less brittle than Scotch tape, and it is repositionable on most surfaces.
