Tono & Lims Ink Bottle – Fukuoka Special 2023 – Amagi no Kawatake – 30m

This collection is inspired by 4 foods that Fukuoka is most known for: Mentaiko, Yuzu Kosho, Amagi no Kawatake and Yanagawa Nabe.

Mentaiko originated in Fukuoka. It is a spicy, salted, marinated pollock roe that is a traditional Japanese ingredient. It’s known for its rich flavor, popping texture and vibrant red color.

Yuzu Kosho is a spicy citrus paste made from yuzu fruit and chili pepper. It is a popular local speciality you can find in Fukuoka markets and cuisine.

Amagi no Kawatake refers to a specific type of freshwater seaweed called “Kawatake” that is harvested in the Kogane River located in Asakura City, Fukuoka.

Yanagawa Nabe is a dish in which open loach is stewed in Warishita and simmered with egg along with chopped burdock root.
